HiSET High School Equivalency Preparation and Exam

Now, for the first time, there is a choice.  Announcing the new high school equivalency test from ETS.

Educational Testing Service (ETS), a leader in test assessment worldwide, is pleased to anounce that it will offer a more affordable, more accessible high school equivalency test beginning in January 2014.  The ETS High School Equivalency Test (HiSETR), the first alternative to the GED(R) test since 1942, will include elements that are critical to providing educational opportunities for those who need a second chance to succeed.  Maine has made the switch from the GED to the HiSETR exam.

Although this new test is still being administered as a paper and pencil format, there are some online pre-registration requirements. Students must go to the HiSETR site located at the link below to create a student account - email address is required when creating a new student account.  Madawaska Adult Education staff can assist learners in this process.  Just call 728-6314 or stop by our office located at the Madawaska High School.  Students can NOT schedule their own testing session.  This must be done at your local adult education office.
